The NiA Theatre Company's production of Pass Over
I started off 2024 playing Kitch in the Nia Theatre Company's production of Pass Over by Antoinette Nwandu
"Mario Haynes as Kitch is funny, innocent, naïve – and yet his coming of age is served in moments of quiet that steal your breath. He is fully in control of actions loud and soft. He is, in short, the heart of the play. "

Shakespeare & Co. NYC One Month 2018
I recently spent one month in January 2018 in deep Shakespeare study. I've had many Shakespeare classes/workshops but this was a great refresher to unlocking the vitality and power of the Shakespeare text for professional actors. Classes also included daily Voice and Movement, Personal Connection, Stage Combat, Clown, Dropping In, Feeding In and other S&Co approaches to unlocking the exuberant power of the Shakespeare text. The workshop also included work in both Monologues and Scenes. Here I am acting in a scene from Henry 6 Part 2 as the Earl of Suffolk
I worked with Tina Packer, Michael Toomey, Dennis Krausnick, Andrew Borthwick-Leslie, Claire Warden, and Dave Demke.
